Discover opportunities
Use Discover to search government notices, including Federal notices. For state and local opportunities, ask the agent to research SLED opportunities with a location and the work you can deliver.
Federal search
- Open Discover.
- Enter a service or project, such as “website redesign”.
- Review returned opportunities, dates and notice types. Open an opportunity to inspect its details and files.
- Open the original documents before deciding to pursue it.
State and local research
In chat, describe the work and location. OregonBuys searches can cover all 32 portal categories, so name the goods or services you can deliver; for example, “Find open construction or trade services opportunities in Oregon.” Current connected SLED sources cover Oregon, Texas and Massachusetts; they do not cover every agency or municipal portal.
If you start from the Oregon page, sign in or create a workspace to open a discovery chat focused on Oregon.
For OregonBuys, the opening date is the portal's Pacific-time opening, not a verified response deadline. A result list may be one page of a larger set; check the coverage the agent reports and ask it to continue before treating a shortlist as complete. Open the original notice and its documents to confirm instructions, amendments and attachments. A recommendation is a lead to investigate, not proof of eligibility or a prediction of winning.
Suggested opportunities and monitoring
Company knowledge can help the agent explain fit. A Discover-only workspace can use saved text company profiles; full Library access requires Pursuit. Set up monitoring opens a conversation to review criteria and cadence before enabling recurring discovery. Monitoring does not start a pursuit on your behalf.
Search results can be incomplete. A failed search is not evidence that no opportunities exist. If you already have an RFP from another portal, bring its files into a pursuit.
